Mopar Sunday was proud to host the national launch of Mopar Australia and the first run for Team Dodge Drag Racing.
Lee Bektash managed to launch his Pro Stock Dodge Avenger down the quarter mile three times in front of a Mopar mad crowd. Following an initial test run to assess the new setup, Lee was able to run a 7.22 second pass.
But that wasn’t enough. Crew chief and engine builder Con Sideris was able to make a number of minor adjustments to the Dodge and Lee rocketed down the quarter mile in an amazing 7.17 seconds.

Once again, All Aussie and US Mopars, including modern Mopars are invited to come and participate in Australia's No. 1 'All Mopar - Drag Racing and Show & Shine' Event.
This year will again include Drag Racing, a Show & Shine hosted by the Qld Chrysler Association a Swapmeet and the Dyno Shootout.
Mopar Sunday 2008 will feature more categories and trophies for Modern Mopars this year.
